What should I wear for the sunrise tour?
We recommend wearing comfortable athletic or hiking shoes with good grip. Since it gets quite cold at the summit before sunrise (around 15°C – 18°C), please dress in layers: bring a light jacket or sweater, long pants, and a comfortable t-shirt underneath. Don’t forget sunglasses and sunscreen for after the sunrise!
What time will I be picked up from my hotel?
Pick-up times depend on your hotel location. Generally, if you stay in Ubud, pick-up is around 2:00 AM – 2:30 AM. For areas like Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, or Nusa Dua, it is around 1:30 AM. We will confirm your exact pick-up time via WhatsApp or email after your booking is confirmed.
I am not very fit. Can I still see the sunrise?
Absolutely! If you prefer not to hike, our Mount Batur Sunrise Jeep Tour is the perfect choice. You will ride in a classic 4WD Jeep right to the sunrise viewpoint without breaking a sweat. If you choose to trek, it is considered a moderate hike that takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
What is included in the tour price?
Our tours are fully inclusive with zero hidden fees! The price generally covers private hotel pick-up and drop-off, a fluent English-speaking driver and guide, entrance tickets to the Mount Batur area, a light breakfast at the sunrise point, and mineral water.
Is the Jeep tour safe for children and elderly guests?
Yes, the Jeep tour is highly recommended for families with children and elderly guests. It is the safest and most comfortable way to experience the magic of Mount Batur. The ride through the black lava is a bit bumpy but very fun and perfectly safe with our expert local drivers.
Can we customize the tour after seeing the sunrise?
Yes, you can! We offer flexible itineraries. Many of our guests choose to visit the Batur Natural Hot Springs to relax their muscles, or stop by a traditional Bali Coffee Plantation on the way back to the hotel. Just let us know your preferences when booking.
What happens if it rains on the day of the tour?
Your safety is our top priority. We provide raincoats in case of light rain. If the weather is considered extreme or unsafe by the local authorities, we will discuss with you to either reschedule the tour for the next available day or adjust the itinerary.
How far in advance should I book the tour?
We recommend booking at least 2 to 3 days in advance to secure your preferred date. During peak holiday seasons in Bali (July-August and December), it is best to book even earlier as our 4WD Jeeps and expert guides get fully booked very quickly!
